why do we use 10mm diameter high tensile chain

Before we started to design the Ultimate Wheel Clamp in August 2005 our aim was, to design a unique wheel clamp.

A wheel clamp that not only wraps around the vehicles wheel (all other wheel clamp brands), we wanted it secured to the vehicles chassis as no other wheel clamp brand does.

After testing different designs we figured out to achieve this by using a chain.

We researched different types of chain, we were surprise practically all chain used for security eg. chain and padlock is thin 4mm or 6mm diameter mild steel chain that is easy and quick to cut with a cheap 12 inch bolt cutter anyone can buy at Bunnings, Mitre 10 or their local hardware shop for about five dollars.
